EMPLOYMENT & TRAINING
|
 |

The Employment and Training Advice Service has
been set up to help unemployed people gain the confidence and skills necessary
to return to the work force.
 |
It is a free and confidential
service where the focus is centred on the individual needs of the unemployed
person, regardless of how well or poorly skilled they consider themselves to
be.
|

|
Through personal interview we
will identify the individuals strengths, skills and areas of interest which
is then used to put together an agreed plan of action. |

|
This personalized plan could
involve relevant training, for example help with basic literacy skills,
attending 3rd level education, attending a training course for a particular
skill or even attending a programme in personal development. |
 |
The plan of action may include a
work placement that could then lead on to employment. |
 |
To ease the transition into the
work place, ongoing support will be given to people taking up employment for
the first time or returning after a long break. |

|
Help is available for putting
together a CV, filling out application forms and interview preparation.
|
Contacting Kathryn, Employment and Training Officer
is the first step in the return to work.
